“¿Por dónde empiezo si quiero emprender?”

"Where do I start if I want to become an entrepreneur?"

If I had been given 10 pesos every time someone told me:

"I want to start a business, but I don't know where to begin..."
I would already have another stationery store open. 😅

The truth is that we all start from a different place, but there's one thing in common: the first step is never clear, but you have to take it anyway.

I started my business not because I had everything planned, but because I had no other choice.
I needed income, I couldn't get a job without losing my scholarship, and all I had was an idea and a strong desire to solve problems.

Here's what I would have loved to know when I started.

1️⃣ You don't need to have everything figured out to start

I didn't have a logo, a name, social media, or a business plan.
I had a need, a corner of my dad's grocery store, and a strong desire to get ahead.

Starting a business isn't about starting perfectly, it's about starting with what you have.
Make a list of your resources: knowledge, skills, space, contacts, time... and start from there.

2️⃣ Don't obsess over the perfect product

Do you know what my first product was?
Prints, simple things...
It wasn't what you see in my stationery store today.
And that's okay.

Your product will evolve. So will you.
Start by selling something you can offer now, even if it's not "the big dream."
That will come later, once you get into a rhythm.

3️⃣ Learn along the way (YouTube is free!)

Everything I didn't know, I looked up.
What I didn't understand, I tried.
My university was YouTube and my specialty was "Trial and error."

Don't stop because you don't know.
Today, with the internet, you can learn anything if you have curiosity and discipline.

4️⃣ Fear doesn't go away, but it can be managed

Yes, it's scary to invest, to fail, for it not to work.
But it's also scary to stay in the same place.
Do you know what I did?
I started with fear and all. And you can too.

5️⃣ The key is to solve a problem

My problem was that I needed money without getting a job.
My community's problem was that there wasn't a stationery store nearby.
Done!

A business is born when what you know how to do solves something others need.

Don't look for the most "wow" idea, look for something useful and do it well.

6️⃣ Don't expect everyone's support (but appreciate it when it comes)

My stationery store started with help from unexpected people.
And often, those closest to me couldn't or didn't want to help.

Don't let that stop you. It's not malice, it's just that not everyone understands your vision.
Keep going. The right people will appear along the way.

7️⃣ Most importantly: start!

Don't overplan so much that you never do it.
Don't compare your step one to someone else's step 30.
Start. Just as you are. With fear, with doubts, but with heart.

💬 And you?

Do you want to start a business? Do you have an idea but don't know where to begin?
Tell me in the comments.
I also started lost, afraid, and with nothing clear...
And look how far I've come.

If I could do it, you can too. 💛
